# \[Press Release\] Impact Fire Acquires Blackstone Fire Control to Begin Servicing the Southeast Markets

October 6 2021

[Impact Fire](https://impactfireservices.com/) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Blackstone Fire Control. Through the acquisition, Impact Fire will establish its first district office in North Carolina.

Founded in 2013 in Greensboro, NC, Blackstone Fire Control is a full-service fire protection

company, with expertise in installation, repair, inspection, maintenance, and monitoring of fire and life safety systems including fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and professional security systems. Blackstone also provides installation services for state-of-the-art audiovisual and communication systems including structured cabling systems, BDA (Bi-Directional Amplification), nurse call systems, paging/intercom systems, and AV systems.

The Blackstone team has cultivated long-standing relationships with their customers and
employees and is recognized by the Triad Business Journal as one of the “Best Places to Work” from 2017-2020. When looking for a partner to help grow his business, Michael Mercadante looked for a company with a similar culture focused on investing in its employees and providing best-in-class service to its customers throughout the Southeast. “This partnership made perfect sense for Blackstone.  Impact’s acquisition offers a strategic growth trajectory in an attractive region. Their team has a long history in the fire and life safety industry and, most importantly, they are laser-focused on being an employee-centric company.”

Having acquired Blackstone Fire Control in Greensboro, North Carolina, Impact Fire is excited to grow its presence in the Southeast region. The combined team is already working together to service its shared customer base by expanding existing fire and life safety services in the greater Greensboro area.
